It’s a big day for Bond fans with the release of the first official trailer for No Time To Die followed by the reveal of this watch by Omega, the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition. The watch is identical to the one seen in action on the big screen adorning the wrist of Daniel Craig in his 5th outing as Bond. The newest Bond watch sees a return to the Seamaster 300 with an execution that should interest Bond fans and non-Bond fans alike.
The full name is the Seamaster Diver 300M Omega Co‑Axial Master Chronometer 42 mm 007 Edition, and in a self-aware move by Omega, won’t be limited in production. The watch inherits the design of the Seamaster Diver 300M family (see our review here), but utilizes new materials for nearly every exterior component. The 42mm case is constructed of Grade 2 titanium, as is the available milanese bracelet which should keep things light on the wrist.
The matte dial and bezel are “tropical” brown aluminum that will apparently age over time, an effect that should pair nicely with the sandy light brown lume found in the hour markers, the hands, and the external bezel. Hints of bright red appear in the “Seamaster” signage on the dial as well as the tip of the seconds hand. There is no date to be found here, replaced instead by a printed Broadsword icon.
